As part of my semester abroad in Indonesia, I undertook a work placement at the creative studio Sembilan Matahari, which specialises in, amongst other things, immersive media, 3D animation and projection mapping.
During this time, I was able to contribute to various creative projects and gain practical experience in the design and animation of three-dimensional content. A particular focus was on 3D projection mapping, in which digital animations are projected onto real surfaces to create impressive visual experiences.
The resulting showreel features a selection of 3D animations that I worked on during my internship and shortly afterwards. I was responsible not only for the animation, but also for modelling, creating textures (hand-drawn for the butterfly), lighting, composition, environments and so on.
